The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the final of the fourth season of the intellectual project “Young Messengers of Peace”, conducted by the institute and the School of Young Diplomats among high school students of the country.
The final game was dedicated to the theme "Triumph of the Peacekeeping Potential of Neutral Turkmenistan", consonant with the general motto of the IV season of the project — "Peacekeeping Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan Is a Reliable Instrument for Effective Cooperation and Sustainable Development". The motto of the project was approved on the occasion of the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust on the initiative of Turkmenistan based on a special Resolution of the UN General Assembly.
The final game featured the eight leaders of the fourth season of the project, which consisted of the winners of two semi-final games held at the institute in the last decade of April. The finalists included 4 boys and 4 girls — students of grades 10-12 from schools in Ashgabat, Arkadag, Lebap and Dashoguz velayats.
During the project, which took place during the 2024-2025 academic year, the finalists confidently defended their positions and successfully performed in eight games of the qualifying round and the semi-final, clearly demonstrating their deep knowledge, erudition, talents and abilities. Rightfully recognized by the jury as the best of the best, these eight students reached the final, according to the results of which the prize places were distributed as follows:
The Grand Prix and the Rolling Cup of the “Young Messengers of Peace” were rightfully won by Atajan Atadurdyev, the 12th-grade student of the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat.
1st place was awarded to Resul Baymyradov, the 12th-grade student of the Specialized Secondary School No. 52 with in-depth Study of Foreign Languages in Ashgabat.
2nd place was taken by Medine Myratberdiyeva, the 12th-grade student of the Specialized Secondary School No. 16 in Ashgabat.
3rd place was awarded to Jeyhun Hojageldiyev, the 11th-grade student of the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat.
The performances of the finalists were judged by members of a competent jury, which included Begench Karaev, PhD in Philosophy, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; Yazgylych Orazgylyjov, Senior Researcher at the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences; Begmuhammet Meredov, the Head of the Department of Digital Systems and Information Security of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
The award ceremony for the winners was held in the conference hall of the Highest School of Diplomacy. The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees and medals from the IIR MFA, as well as valuable gifts from the project sponsors. The sponsors of the final of the competition were the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan and the open joint-stock company "Abadan haly".
According to a good tradition, after the award ceremony in front of the main building of the institute, the young messengers released white doves into the sky as a symbol of friendship, peace and goodness.
The game was filmed by representatives of the educational studio of the IIR MFA and the "Miras" TV channel of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. In the coming days, the game will be broadcast for numerous turkmen TV viewers who are closely following the course of events of the project.
So, the fourth season of the grand career-oriented project "Young Messengers of Peace" has ended. The competition was attended by dozens of young intellectuals – high school students from all over the country who show a special interest in history, politics, diplomacy and a desire to build their professional path in this direction. It should be noted that 32 young messengers of peace from among the best participants of the three seasons of the project are currently receiving higher education at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
