A delegation from Turkmenistan is taking part in the XVIII Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS member states titled “Commonwealth of Independent States: New Horizons for Humanitarian Cooperation,” which began its work on May 14 at the National Library building of Tajikistan in the city of Dushanbe.

In the first half of the day, a plenary session was held, during which representatives of the CIS member states delivered welcoming speeches, including B. Gutlymyradov, Vice-Rector of the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory.

The forum continued with a panel discussion on the topic “The Contribution of the Peoples of the Commonwealth to the Great Victory,” during which M. Hojagulyev, Head of the Scientific Department at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, spoke. In his speech, he spoke about the courage and heroism of the Turkmen people during the years of the Great Patriotic War and the enormous contribution of Turkmenistan’s people to the Great Victory.

The representative of the Turkmen university also highlighted the foreign policy course of neutral Turkmenistan, aimed at strengthening peace and developing positive cooperation with all countries, including CIS member states. In this regard, special attention was paid to international cooperation in the fields of science and education, as well as Turkmenistan’s extensive activities in this direction.

As part of the Turkmen delegation’s visit to Dushanbe, books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov were donated to the collection of the National Library of Tajikistan.
