The presentation of the book “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road” by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in Riyadh. The presentation was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The presentation brought together the representatives of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, the Centre for Research and International Knowledge (CRIK), the Humanitarian Association of the Turkmen of the World, a number of the industrial, investment and logistic companies in Saudi Arabia, the mass media as well as the Turkmen diaspora in Saudi Arabia.
According to those speaking during the meeting, the new work by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published in the Turkmen, English and Russian languages has scientifically proved the phenomenon of the Great Silk Road in establishing the economic, cultural, diplomatic and information relations between the peoples in the East and the West.
It was emphasized that the ideological and conceptual keynote of the President of Turkmenistan was the analysis of the aspects of the modern development of neutral Turkmenistan, its economic power, social and political progress, increasing international authority and the role in the global and integration process through the prism of the Turkmen people’s historical path and mental values. The book addressed to wide readership provides the opportunity to learn more about the Turkmen people’s spiritual heritage and culture, its traditions and customs, as well as to make a fascinating journey to the unique archeological monuments.
In conclusion of the meeting, the new books and textile goods produced in Turkmenistan, including the ones with the symbols of the 2017 Asian Games were presented to the meeting participants. The guests were treated with the dishes of the Turkmen national cuisine.
