On May 21, a delegation headed by the Chairman of the Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye Academy of Sciences of Republic of Türkiye Erol Ozvar arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.

The purpose of the visit is to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of science and higher education between the friendly countries. The program of visiting the Turkmen capital includes distinguished guests from the Republic of Türkiye includes meetings with representatives of the highest the leadership of the sphere of science and education of Turkmenistan, they are aimed at discussing plans and prospects for cooperation, forming new formats of mutually beneficial bilateral partnership in the field of science and education, and bringing cooperation between universities of the two countries to a higher level of development.

During the visit, the Türkish delegation will also visit the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University International University of Humanities and Development, Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Satisfaction of Mehmet Azadi, in which meetings with the rectors of these universities are scheduled. Delegates from Türkiye will be introduced to programs of higher professional education, the structure of universities, their educational and scientific activities.

As a result of the meetings, the parties plan to reach new agreements within the framework of established and successfully developing relations in the field of science and education between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

The two countries' bilateral educational ties are developing harmoniously and effectively, and are being consistently implemented the tasks set for the modernization and improvement of the education system. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023 between the Governments of Turkmenistan and Türkiye have significantly expanded the scope of cooperation in the field of higher professional education.

We would like to add that for the distinguished guests who arrived from Türkiye an interesting cultural program has been prepared for the visit of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan. It includes visits to the monuments of the Nisa Cultural and Historical Reserve, the Paytagt shopping and entertainment center, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpet.

Working visit of the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Council for the Higher Education Program of the Republic of Türkiye by Erol Ozvar will last until May 24.
