In the National Drama Theatre named after Makhtumkuli, it was held the closing ceremony of Culture Days of the Turkish Republic in Turkmenistan.

The creative forum became a further significant step towards the activization of cooperation between the two brotherly countries. It afforded its participants the opportunity for companionship, initiation of professional contacts.

Activities, carried out in the framework of the Days of Turkish Culture, acquainted the citizens of Turkmenistan with the friendly country’s rich art palette.

Various areas of the Turkish decorative and applied arts were shown at the exhibition, held at the Museum of Fine Arts. There were organized master classes on traditional folk-crafts.

Such exhibitions arouse vivid interest of visitors, because they serve mutual enrichment of cultures. It was discussed at the meeting of creative intelligentsia representatives of the two countries, held in the Museum of Fine Arts. Its participants discussed the prospects for interaction in the preservation, study and promotion of the Turkic peoples’ heritage in the world.

The attendees confirmed the mutual effort to intensify the dialogue in these important areas, and expand humanitarian exchanges and cooperation among museums, libraries, art collectives, educational and scientific institutions.

Turkish guests also visited museums and other sights of the Turkmen capital, that greatly expanded their knowledge about the history and present of our country.

At the closing ceremony of the Culture Days of the Turkish Republic, it was emphasized that creative action serves to consolidate the friendly relations of the two peoples with a historical and spiritual commonality.

The participants expressed appreciation to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the policy of multifaceted partnerships, and extension of humanitarian contacts they pursued.

Workers of culture and masters of art of Turkey thanked the Turkmen colleagues for the warm reception and cooperation in the successful holding the creative forum.

Then, there was the concert, which program included folk-choreographic compositions, works of world and national classical music, contemporary pop and folk songs.

A performance of the “Mehter” military orchestra excited unforgettable emotions of the audience. A high level of artistry was demonstrated by the soloists of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet. Artists of the “Türk dunyasi” ensemble brilliantly performed folk melodies and dances.

Turkmen soloists and “Serpay” folk group seamlessly supplemented guests’ performances.

Great pleasure to the audience was afforded by the contest of folk artists, being traditional for musical culture of the Turks who have demonstrated mastery of the instruments, and their creative union highlighted the inseparability of spiritual connection, the power of roots nourishing the contemporary art.

Concert participants interchanged creative gifts – songs of the Turkmen singer in the Turkish language and the Turkish soloist in the Turkmen language. The program was completed by the ancient dance kushtdepdi, which on the proposal of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was nominated for the entering into the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
