A meeting was held at the International University of Humanities and Development with a delegation from Kent State University (USA) headed by Vice President Marcello Fantoni.
During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the history, structure, international cooperation and scientific work of the Turkmen University. The parties discussed in detail plans and tasks for building mutually beneficial educational cooperation.
Expressing gratitude for the warm and cordial welcome, the Vice President the President of the University of Kent stressed that the establishment and development of cooperation between universities of the two countries is one of the priorities of his work. The foreign guest noted the willingness to expand productive cooperation in priority areas of science and education with the International University of Humanities and Development and stressed that all necessary measures would be taken in this direction.
At the end of the official part of the meeting, a tour of the university was organized for the honored guests, during which the foreign delegation was also familiarized with the work of the UNESCO club. "Peace and trust are the foundation of humanism and development" and the student center "IUHD HUB".
It should be noted that on the basis of the agreements signed in October last year Kent State University actively cooperates with three universities of Turkmenistan through memoranda of understanding.
Among them are the International University of Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In accordance with the agreements, the expansion of academic programs, the creation of joint educational and scientific initiatives, research projects, as well as strengthening cultural exchanges between countries.
In order to further deepen the effective partnership within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the delegation Kent State University, headed by Vice President Marcello Fantoni, also visited the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
At this meeting, future steps to implement joint educational programs were widely discussed, as well as issues of sharing best practices in the field of educational development university plans that meet international requirements.
The foreign guests were greatly impressed by the tour of the Institute, during which they visited the Museum of the History of Turkmen Diplomacy, the UNESCO Culture of Peace Club, the educational studio of the university, its libraries of German and Turkish languages, as well as a huge white Turkmen yurt, the venue for the intellectual project for high school students of the country "Young Messengers of Peace". It should be added that Kent State University, founded in 1910, has firmly established itself due to innovative approaches in the field of education, business and technology.
Meetings of representatives of the University of Kent and universities they have become an important step in the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of Turkmenistan's strategic goals for the integration of Turkmen universities into an international educational space and establishing partnerships with the world's leading universities.
