The Turkmen State Publishing Service has published a new textbook "Theory and methodology of badminton", intended for higher educational institutions of the country.

The textbook was prepared by the authors R.Annamammedov and M.Serdarov. The new edition includes the following sections: introduction, history of badminton, badminton at the Olympic Games, development of badminton in Turkmenistan, rackets, balls, strings of badminton rackets, sizes of the badminton court, coverings, rules of the game (general, single and doubles), theory and technique of the game, its impact on the development of the body, methods of organizing and conducting competitions, relevant and interesting information about badminton.

The textbook will be useful both for students and teachers of higher educational institutions, athletes and coaches, students of specialized children 's and youth sports schools, and for all curious readers interested in this sport.

The new textbook has added to the extensive library of national publications intended for the country's sports-related educational institutions and trained as part of the large-scale work in the state for the comprehensive and dynamic development of Turkmen sports, the training of high-class athletes, as well as attracting young people to physical education and sports, and the widespread popularization of a healthy lifestyle among the population.
