A promising development by the Chemistry Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is approaching completion — the creation of a universal liquid fertilizer for greenhouse farms called KAS-28, -30, and -32. Their compositions contain potassium, nitrogen, ammonium nitrate, and other additives.
Interest in the new product is already being shown by representatives of the domestic market engaged in growing greenhouse vegetables, citrus crops, and bananas. Neighboring countries are also expressing readiness to purchase the fertilizer in "unlimited quantities." The Institute plans to take part in its production so that it develops domestically, on a scientific basis with laboratory quality control, and produces a high-quality product that will benefit agricultural production.
Presenting the work, Amanmyrat Remezanov, senior engineer of the department of technological projects and their implementation in production, noted that the composition of the mixture contains all the substances necessary for the growth and development of greenhouse plants, including vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, as well as components for protection against plant diseases and pests. The liquid fertilizer should be diluted according to the instructions to the required concentration based on the needs of individual types of agricultural crops and production as a whole, and then applied to the root system of the plants through a drip irrigation system, simultaneously providing watering and fertilization.
The mixture is environmentally friendly with respect to the environment, soil cover, and the vegetables being grown. Such a guarantee of fertility will also appeal to open-field vegetable growers, berry producers, and growers of melons and gourds.
