The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ashgabat hosted a solemn ceremony of handing over enrollment notices to Chinese universities. As part of the Chinese government's scholarship program for 2025, talented Turkmen applicants have been given the opportunity to study at universities in a friendly country.
The ceremony was opened by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shuming, who personally congratulated the students and their parents. In his opening speech, he thanked them for their trust, noting that China is not only a country with a rich history and culture, but also a modern innovation center.

– You will have many opportunities to study and gain unique experiences. Chinese-Turkmen relations are now at the highest level in history after the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Ambassador stressed. – The leaders of our countries recently held important talks, where they discussed issues of mutual interest and outlined key guidelines for further cooperation.
The Ambassador's words were confirmed by the representative of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan Yusup Tuvakov. He noted that cooperation between the two countries has long been characterized by a spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and sincere respect.
– Thanks to the strategic vision of the leaders of our states Interstate cooperation is becoming more dynamic and productive. A special place in it is occupied by the field of education, which acts as a solid bridge of trust, mutual understanding and friendship between our peoples," said Yusup Tuvakov.

The students themselves expressed their gratitude to the Governments of Turkmenistan and China. Thus, Seyran Komekov, a future first-year student at Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, stressed that under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov creates wide opportunities for youth conditions for obtaining advanced knowledge.
– This year I managed to successfully pass the exams and enroll in a higher educational institution of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region according to the program Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology (IT) Sciences, " said Seyran Komekov. He also quoted the President's book.
Serdara Berdimuhamedova "Youth is the backbone of the Motherland": "Youth should strive for knowledge, be faithful to their homeland and serve the people with honor."

The student expressed confidence that, having mastered modern knowledge and skills, he will be able to make a worthy contribution to improvement computer technologies and the development of digital systems for the benefit of the Motherland.
The ceremony became a clear evidence of the strengthening ties between the two countries. Today, almost a thousand students in nine universities of Turkmenistan and about 5,700 schoolchildren in ten secondary schools are studying Chinese.
More than 6,500 Turkmen students are already receiving education in Chinese universities in various fields.
In the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, cooperation will expand: thanks to 100 educational grants allocated by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, 95 Turkmen students will be able to start studying in China.
