The solution to their special problems associated with overcoming geographical isolation, expanding access to investment, world trade markets and integration into the world economy is closely linked to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals common to all mankind. The UN Conferences on LLDCs, held once a decade, are important platforms for reviewing the progress achieved in the development of these countries and defining an action program for the next decade.
