Ilima Guseynova, 14-year-old tennis player from Ashgabat, won a silver medal in doubles at the recently concluded international tournament "Selangor Asian 14 & Under Grade A (Southeast Asia)" in Malaysia. The 9th-grade student from Ashgabat's specialized secondary school No. 42 achieved this success in partnership with Hana Shabanpour from Iran.

Turkmen swimmers start at the Olympic Games in Paris
At the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris, swimmers competed for medals in the 100-meter men's crawl and women's backstroke, where Turkmenistan was represented by Musa Jalayev, a student at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, and Aynura Primova, a graduate of the capital's Secondary School №68. In June-July of this year, they took part in a training camp in Batumi (Georgia) as part of the national team, and made their debut in the main competition of the four-year period in the capital of France.

Turkmen judokas completed their performances at the Olympic Games in Paris
At the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris, judokas competed for medals in the men's 66 kg and women's 57 kg weight categories. Turkmenistan was represented by 20-year-old Serdar Rahimov, the 2024 Grand Slam champion in Dushanbe, and 19-year-old Maysa Pardayeva, bronze medalist at the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou, China and the Grand Slam in Antalya, Turkey. In the men's 66 kg category, 27 athletes competed for awards, while in the women's 57 kg weight class, 28 athletes participated.
