In Ashgabat, the Pedagogical school named after Aman Kekilov is holding advanced training courses for Turkmen teachers from higher and secondary educational institutions. The classes are led by a group of teachers from the Russian Federation. Marina Gumerova, a PhD candidate in pedagogy, associate professor, and head of the department of pedagogy at Naberzhnochelny State Pedagogical University (NSPU, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation), shared her impressions with a «GA» correspondent.
«First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the openness, warmth, care, and hospitality we feel in warm Turkmenistan. And here, allow me to express my special gratitude to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the broad geography and strong bridge of mutual understanding created in the field of education. We, Russian teachers, greatly value these good traditions and favourable opportunities for the targeted development of cooperation», - the teacher said.
Our interlocutor noted the successes achieved and expressed confidence that fruitful Turkmen-Russian cooperation will only expand in the future.
«Currently, our exchange with our Turkmen colleagues is already yielding good results. Thus, we already have joint educational products and interesting avenues for deepening scientific ties», - shared the guest of the country.
According to M. Gumerova, there are plans to co-author manuals on innovative technologies for preschool and primary education. At NSPU, work continues on projects to develop educational video materials for preschool classes and textbooks on the fundamentals of life safety.
Speaking of her Turkmen colleagues participating in professional development events, M. Gumerova emphasised their hard work, sincerity, and commitment to gaining in-depth specialised knowledge.
«The course participants approach the process very seriously, demonstrating a coordinated and systematic approach, which in turn has a positive impact on the analysis of the acquired knowledge and the consolidation of the material. At the same time, the Turkmen teachers themselves generously share their knowledge. This factor once again underscores the vast experience they have accumulated. This covers such areas as traditional education, the development of methodological recommendations, technological additions, and the introduction of new teaching methods», - stated M. Gumerova.
In conclusion, the Russian expert emphasised the high impact of such meetings for Turkmen and Russian specialists, as the ideas and innovations generated during these joint sessions prove effective and in demand, and can be adapted to the national education systems of both Turkmenistan and Russia.
