The Parliament of Turkmenistan has adopted 17 legislative acts since the beginning of the year

Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova, speaking at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via the digital system on October 31, presented the results of lawmaking activities for the period from January to October of the current year.

As informed by the Speaker of Parliament, 17 legislative acts were adopted during this period. Among them are the Constitutional Law “On the Legal Foundations of the Policy of Peace and Trust of Neutral Turkmenistan”, the Laws “On the Approval and Enactment of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan”, “On the Court”, “On the Unified State Register of Voters”, and “On the Establishment of the Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan ‘Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna”.

In addition, the deputies introduced amendments and additions to existing legal acts related to criminal, arbitration, civil, criminal-procedural, family and labor relations, as well as to matters of taxation, administrative proceedings, motor transport, migration activities, the work of internal affairs bodies, and customs. In total, 18 resolutions of the Mejlis were adopted during the specified period.

In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting the need for the effective continuation of work in this area, emphasized the paramount importance of the systematic improvement of the country’s legislation.
