On the 4th of November, the International university for humanities and development held an awards ceremony for the winners of the II International economics olympiad and the II International philosophy olympiad, held by the university among students of higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad.
A total of 262 participants won prizes in the economics olympiad, 148 of whom were students from Turkmen universities.
A total of 1053 students participated in the Olympiad: 438 students from 25 universities represented Turkmenistan, and 615 students from 30 universities represented 13 foreign countries. International participants included students from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Romania, Poland, Indonesia, Cuba, Cambodia, and Cyprus.
In the philosophy olympiad, the jury awarded 251 prizes, 208 of which went to Turkmen students.

At this Olympiad, 599 students demonstrated their knowledge and abilities: 480 students from 25 universities in our country and 119 students from 21 universities in 13 foreign countries, such as Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Morocco, Cambodia, Kenya, Romania, Indonesia, Türkiye and the USA.
During the awards ceremony, warm congratulations and good wishes were extended to the winners and runners-up of the olympiads. Particular recognition was given to the brilliant performances and achievements of the Turkmen students, who took the top prizes in both olympiads.
In a festive atmosphere, the winners and prize winners of the international olympiads were awarded well-deserved medals and special certificates.
The II International olympiad in economics and the II International olympiad in philosophy were held online by the International university for humanities and development from 20th to 24th of October.
The olympiads were held in categories A and B in the form of individual competitions in one round in turkmen, russian and english languages.
International student olympiads were held to identify, develop, and support young talent, cultivate broad-minded youth, encourage active scientific and creative work, provide career guidance to students, and create positive conditions for their intellectual development.
The olympiads have become an effective platform for the mutually beneficial exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience, strengthening educational ties and friendly relations between students and faculty of higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad.
