Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in the International Educational Conference organized by Kangwon National University of the Republic of Korea from November 3 to 6.

The Turkmen delegation included Selbi Batyrova, Vice-Rector for Research of the Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and Mylayym Khudaynarova, Director of the King Sejong Korean Language Center, which operates under the Institute in Ashgabat.

During the conference, the Vice-Rector of the Turkmen institute delivered a substantive presentation, providing detailed information about one of the country’s leading higher educational institutions that trains highly qualified foreign language teachers and professional translators.

The report highlighted the university’s structure, its academic programs, and the conditions created for students to comprehensively master relevant theoretical knowledge, acquire practical skills, learn digital technologies, and study the latest scientific concepts, advanced research, and innovative solutions.

Particular attention was paid to the use of modern digital education tools, the active expansion of international cooperation, the consistent improvement of language teaching methodologies, professional development of educators, and the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Science and Education signed between the Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Kangwon National University.

As part of the conference, a large-scale exhibition was held featuring samples of Turkmen carpet weaving, ancient jewelry, and handicrafts created by the skilled hands of Turkmen craftswomen. Conference participants showed great interest in the display.

The participation of the Turkmen university representatives in the international conference contributed significantly to expanding academic and educational cooperation, implementing joint projects with the Korean university, and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
