On the 12th of November the XVIII International exhibition and scientific conference «Türkmentel – 2025» and the International conference and exhibition «International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development – 2025» opened in the capital of Turkmenistan.
On the sidelines of the joint forum, Delfuza Shiriyeva, head of the financial and economic department of the State committee for construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, spoke to a «GA» correspondent about the prospects of the «smart» city and the ongoing technical supervision of the second phase of its construction.
As D. Shiriyeva noted, the second phase of the project will include the introduction of modern technologies, such as an intelligent transport system with smart traffic lights, smart homes, smart meters, and utility systems, as well as the construction of a modern bus station using electric buses and electric vehicles, and a railway station.
«All construction work is carried out exclusively by domestic companies, and foreign participation is limited to equipment supplies. For example, Korean partners will be responsible for the technological components of the facilities being built», – said D. Shiriyeva.
It was particularly emphasised that holding international exhibitions and conferences opens up great prospects for developing cooperation and clearly demonstrates the enormous interest on the part of foreign investors.
