Turkmen Delegation Participates in the World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing

A Turkmen delegation is taking part in the World Chinese Language Conference, held in Beijing (PRC) from November 14 to 16.

One of the largest international events dedicated to the development of the Chinese language, strengthening humanitarian cooperation, and expanding collaboration in the field of education has brought together around 2,000 participants from more than 160 countries and regions, including 61 young sinologists from 51 countries.

Turkmenistan is represented at this prestigious forum by the Rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and a Chinese language teacher from Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

The conference program includes plenary sessions, thematic sections, and panel discussions on a wide range of topics, including modern methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the training and professional development of teaching staff, the introduction of innovative digital learning platforms, and artificial intelligence technologies.

The agenda also features discussions on updating teaching materials, improving the quality of the educational process, enhancing academic exchanges between Chinese and foreign universities, and exploring the prospects of international language programs and cultural cooperation.

A specialized exhibition is open to conference participants, showcasing advanced educational developments such as electronic learning systems, VR/AR solutions, interactive resources, and platforms based on artificial intelligence technologies.

As part of the conference, the Turkmen delegation held a meeting with the leadership of Beijing International Studies University (BISU). The sides noted the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation, which has been successfully developing on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding in the fields of science and education signed between the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi and BISU.

During the meeting, opportunities for further cooperation were discussed, including academic exchanges, professional internships, development of language programs, and the organization of joint scientific and cultural events.

The Turkmen side proposed expanding collaboration through the exchange of experience in training Chinese language teachers, improving students’ language skills, connecting to digital learning platforms and AI-based resources, as well as organizing short-term internships and summer schools.

Both sides expressed interest in implementing new initiatives aimed at promoting the study of the Chinese language and strengthening educational ties between Turkmenistan and China.

The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the World Chinese Language Conference is of great importance for the further development of national education and the deepening of humanitarian relations with the PRC. The forum serves as an effective platform for establishing and expanding contacts with leading Chinese universities and specialized centers, as well as for exploring advanced methodologies for teaching Chinese and modern digital educational solutions.
