Teachers and students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev participated in the scientific-practical conference “Luban Workshop”, which was held at the Polytechnic University of Ningbo (PRC).
The conference brought together representatives of the education sector, partners, and participants of the Luban Workshop project from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Belarus, and other countries.
During the conference, participants had the opportunity to jointly discuss the possibilities and prospects of the international educational project “Luban Workshop.” Created on the basis of the Chinese vocational training model and widely adopted since 2016, this project has become one of the most successful initiatives in the field of professional education. It is part of the global “Belt and Road” initiative aimed at strengthening international cooperation.
Today, the project covers 30 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe, where 34 Luban workshops have been established. These vocational training centers have been launched in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Thailand, Ethiopia, and other countries.
In Turkmenistan, the project is being implemented at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev. Work is currently underway on the university campus to prepare for the launch of the Luban Workshop and to equip it with laboratory facilities.
The creation of the Luban Workshop is one of the most significant achievements in the development of Turkmen–Chinese relations in the field of education. Within the project, the parties focus on introducing modern teaching methods in applied geology and information technology.
