As part of their participation in the World Chinese Language Conference, held in Beijing from November 14 to 16, the Turkmen delegation held a working meeting with the Director of the Chinese Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC).

The Turkmen delegation included the Rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and a Chinese language instructor from Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

The parties discussed issues of current cooperation, as well as further steps to develop bilateral collaboration in the field of Chinese language teaching in Turkmenistan.

Among the key areas identified for expanding the partnership were:

Studying best practices for creating modern textbooks, digital and multimedia materials;

Joint organization of conferences, forums, and seminars;

Assigning native-speaking teachers to Turkmen universities;

Short-term exchanges and the organization of Chinese language summer and winter schools;

Conducting educational camps and international youth programs;

Providing scholarships for studying the Chinese language and pursuing higher education in universities in China.

The Turkmen side expressed gratitude for the support provided in teaching the Chinese language in Turkmenistan and reiterated its interest in expanding joint projects.

The effectiveness of the work carried out under the memorandums of cooperation signed between the Chinese center and Turkmen universities was also highlighted.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides reaffirmed their mutual intention and readiness to strengthen cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and actively develop academic ties between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.
