On November 26, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldy Kakayev held an International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Prospects and Implementation of Digital Innovative Technologies in the Scientific and Educational Sphere" in a hybrid format. The conference was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
The event was attended by professors, teachers, researchers, doctoral students, master's degree students, and undergraduates from higher educational institutions, specialists from relevant companies, ministries, and agencies from Turkmenistan and abroad, as well as representatives of international organizations.
In total, the conference brought together nearly 1,500 participants from 22 countries, including China, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Italy, UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Austria, Iran, Romania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Panama, Jordan, and Turkmenistan.
Before the conference began, participants visited a thematic exhibition held in the university's main building. The exhibition showcased advanced digital solutions, interactive learning tools, and educational programs, which demonstrated the work and achievements of the professors and students of the Turkmen university.
The opening ceremony of the international forum was held next. The event continued with a plenary session, during which more than 30 scientific reports from participants were presented.
The conference then proceeded with sessions organized into the following themes: "Digitization and Digital Technologies in the Education System," "Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence," and "The Role of the Digital Economy in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals." Over 120 substantive reports were presented during the three forum sessions.
The main goal of the conference was to discuss trends in digital innovations, analyze the potential for integrating modern technologies into science and education, and foster international cooperation in the field of digitization.
As noted by the speakers, in a short period, Turkmenistan has achieved rapid development in the field of innovative digital technologies. This has been made possible through the successful implementation of long-term social and economic development programs, the priority of which is the introduction of advanced global practices in integrating high technologies, digital resources, software, and artificial intelligence into the scientific and educational system.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan is consistently ready to expand cooperation with international organizations, foreign universities, companies, research centers, and coordinate joint efforts in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
At the conclusion of the forum, participants expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the country's leadership for the efforts made and the wide opportunities created for the comprehensive and harmonious development of the science and education system, strengthening its innovative potential, and promoting active international collaboration in this area.
