Today, various events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s Neutrality are being held in different parts of Turkmenistan. For instance, in honor of the holiday, a conference and an opening ceremony of a large-scale exhibition took place in Lebap. The events were organized by the Velayat Museum of History and Local Lore in cooperation with the Velayat Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by employees and active members of museum and public organizations, political parties, as well as representatives of the older generation; staff of the velayat and etrap courts; the velayat Customs Service; the Department of Justice; the Police Department; teachers and students of the Turkmenabat City Finance and Economics Secondary Vocational School; and workers of the library sector.

The conference featured informative presentations on the role of neutrality in the rapid political, economic, and socio-cultural development of the sovereign Motherland.

The continuation of the conference was the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Neutrality – the Source of Peaceful Development.” Participants viewed museum exhibits revealing the essence of the legal status of neutrality of our sovereign state.

The display of national treasures included in UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity once again demonstrated the high respect of the international community, including the UN, for the glorious history of the Turkmen people.
