In the International Year of Peace and Trust, marked by the celebration of the glorious 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, various festivities and events are being widely held in Balkan velayat. One such event was the creative contest “Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust,” jointly organized by the Balkan Velayat Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the editorial office of the newspaper “Balkan”.

The solemn award ceremony for the winners of the contest took place at the Balkan Velayat Library, located in the administrative center of the velayat, the city of Balkanabat.

The contest demonstrated the achievements attained by the Motherland during the glorious years of sacred independence and permanent neutrality, and also highlighted the great importance of the neutrality status in developing mutually beneficial relations based on the principles of peace, friendship, brotherhood, and mutual trust. Citizens engaged in creative activities from etraps and cities of the velayat took an active part in the contest. The authors dedicated their works to the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the Motherland, the International Year of Peace and Trust, events of universal human significance, as well as the positive transformations being carried out in the life of the country in the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan.

According to the results of the creative contest “Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust,” first place was awarded to D. Gurbanova, a teacher at Secondary School No. 15 of the Bereket etrap of Balkan velayat. Second place was awarded to G. Tashliyev, a teacher at the Balkan Velayat Educational and Rehabilitation Complex, and third place was taken by S. Taganova, a nurse at the Health House in the settlement of Jebel in the city of Balkanabat. The winners were solemnly presented with Certificates of Honor and commemorative gifts. All participants of the contest received incentive prizes and were extended best wishes for success in their creative endeavors.
