Participants of the International conference «The Role of women in modern society: developing international cooperation for sustainable development» expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for its consistent contribution to advancing the ideas of gender equality, mutual understanding, and sustainable development. This is stated in the Final document adopted following the conference.
«We express our deep gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan, the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the UN system, and all organisers and partners for hosting this International conference on the role of women in modern society, and for their consistent contribution to promoting gender equality, mutual understanding, and sustainable development», – the document emphasises.
The document also expresses the readiness of women to further collaborate within the UN, regional organisations, and multilateral and bilateral initiatives to implement the ideas and recommendations developed during the Conference. Forum participants emphasised their continued joint efforts to achieve tangible progress in empowering women, advancing their participation in all spheres of life, and ensuring equality globally.
At the same time, there was a call for the United Nations Organisation, its specialised agencies and international financial institutions to increase support for national efforts to achieve gender equality.
The international conference «The Role of women in modern society: developing international cooperation for sustainable development» was held in collaboration with the UN in the «Avaza» National tourist zone on the 10th of December, 2025.
