On the 22nd of December, 2025, a climate dialogue entitled «An Inclusive future: Developing a plan for the participation of public and women in the NDC 3.0 of Turkmenistan » was held in the Turkmen capital. The event was organised by the public organisation «Young naturalist» in collaboration with the UN Development Programme (UNDP).

NDC 3.0 is an updated Nationally determined contribution of the country, which is a climate action plan under the Paris agreement.

During the meeting, climate analysts and UNDP project specialists, together with experts and SDG Ambassadors, discussed the social and gender aspects of climate change. This resulted in the development of the foundations of a Roadmap for the systematic engagement of women and youth in the implementation and monitoring of NDC 3.0.

«This dialogue allowed us to join forces with UNDP to create inclusive mechanisms in climate policy. We strive to ensure that experiences of women and the energy of young people become part of national plans. The NDC 3.0 must reflect the interests of the entire society to achieve a sustainable future», − noted Leyli Shihmadova, Chairperson of the «Young naturalist» public organisation.

The meeting, held at the «Ynamly Kepil» coworking centre, brought together approximately 30 participants representing various industries.
