A «roundtable» discussion on «Prospects for Eurasian integration – the role of youth in the new digital world» was held in the Turkmen capital. The discussion was organised by the Department of Education, Science, and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan.
The meeting was timed to coincide with the centenary of Russian public diplomacy. Diplomats, academics, public figures, and representatives of the youth expert community participated in the discussion.
Participants paid special attention to the significant coincidence of the 100th anniversary of public diplomacy, which is celebrated during the Year of international peace and trust, along with the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
As Yuliya Zaytseva, First Secretary of the Embassy of RF, noted, both dates symbolise the desire for peace and unity. It was emphasised that strengthening humanitarian and economic ties is the foundation for the development of both states. The diplomat called on young people in the digital epoch to preserve deep spiritual values, which remain the key to a stable future.
