At an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council, chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and attended by the khakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat, the results of the outgoing year, 2025—the International Year of Peace and Trust—were summed up, and development vectors for the near future were defined.
As the head of state noted, the outgoing year has become a landmark one for the country and will forever enter the history of independent, neutral Turkmenistan. The key international event of the year was the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the Motherland.
Speaking about the main indicators of public administration, the President of Turkmenistan stated that 44 meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers and 11 meetings of the State Security Council were held, as well as 24 state meetings were organized to address strategic issues of domestic and foreign policy. Alongside this, new laws were adopted to ensure the prosperity of the state.
At the same time, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized that high growth rates are being maintained in all sectors of the national economy. Salaries, pensions, benefits, and student stipends have been financed in a timely manner.
“The life of the people has become more prosperous and happy. Construction of industrial and social-cultural facilities, as well as large residential complexes, continues in all regions of the country,” said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
One of the key moments of the meeting was the approval of the motto and emblem of the coming year. The President of the country approved the motto for 2026 proposed by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan — the homeland of purposeful winged horses.”
This concise and meaningful expression once again underscored the continuity of traditions, national pride, and the dynamic development of the state.
