On February 11, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania A. Annayev and the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ms. Ana Tinca. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of Turkmen-Romanian relations. They noted the progressive development of bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect and trust, as well as their interest in further strengthening political dialogue.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the economic and transport sectors, as well as interparliamentary contacts and consular cooperation. The parties emphasized the importance of using existing dialogue mechanisms and reaffirmed their readiness to further intensify them.

They also discussed multilateral cooperation and international initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening peace, security, and sustainable development.

At the end of the meeting, they reaffirmed the mutual openness to further developing cooperation and continuing constructive dialogue.
