The Government of Turkmenistan is reinforcing its status as an active participant in international processes by expanding cooperation with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the 2026 Partnership Work Plan at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital system.

The plan, presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, R. Meredov, covers key aspects of security and includes a wide range of initiatives.

These include the development of preventive diplomacy, strengthening border security, combating cyber threats, and improving customs control; enhancing regional economic cooperation and introducing energy-efficient technologies; jointly addressing climate change issues and ensuring environmental security; protecting human rights, promoting gender equality, and advancing democratic institutions; as well as improving the fields of education, science, and the media.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that systematic dialogue with international organizations remains a consistent priority of the country’s foreign policy and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and head of the foreign affairs agency to carry out the relevant work.
