The first stage of the IV integrated Olympiad «Talented descendants of Oguz han», held by the Engineering and technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han among students in grades 9-12 of secondary schools of the country, has come to an end in Turkmenistan.
This year, the Olympiad brought together more than 20 thousand high school students from across the country, who demonstrated their knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and logical thinking skills.
As the organisers emphasised, the number of people wishing to participate in the Olympiad exceeded our expectations, which is certainly encouraging and testifies to the steadily growing interest of schoolchildren in studying science and the popularity of the Olympiad among young people.
It is worth noting that among the participants of the competition are the winners of major scientific project contests, state and international Olympiads in English, natural sciences and exact sciences, which further increases the importance and prestige of the Olympiad.
As of today, I stage of the Olympiad, which took place at the etrap level, has already been completed for schoolchildren. Work is underway at a high level to ensure a fair assessment of results of the participants and to prepare for II stage of the competition, which will take place on the 8th of April.
The Olympiad is traditionally held in Turkmen and English in three stages – at the etrap, velayat, and national levels. Schoolchildren who successfully complete the first and second stages of the Olympiad will be invited to Ashgabat to participate in the third and final stage, which will be held in June at the Engineering and technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han.
The integrated Olympiad «Talented descendants of Oguz han» is being held for the fourth year in a row and is one of the most effective career-oriented projects of the university, which actively works to attract talented young people to the country.
