This spring, farmers of the Balkan velayat carried out the timely and well-organized planting of potatoes—one of the main food crops—on 1,600 hectares. It should be noted that the velayat’s agricultural producers annually make a significant contribution to achieving high potato yields.

These days, irrigation work is underway across the vast fields of the region to support the young shoots. In addition, in order to increase productivity, crops are being fertilized with mineral and micronutrient fertilizers. It is worth emphasizing that these activities are carried out through a combination of traditional farming practices and advanced modern experience and technologies.

In the inter-row cultivation of potatoes, which is being conducted at a high pace, the machine operators of the “Obahyzmat” enterprises of the etrap divisions of the production association “Balkanobahyzmat” are particularly distinguished by their productive work. They are significantly supported in solving important tasks by reserve resources from local workshops, where they were prepared in advance for the start of the season. The effective work currently being carried out in the fields in accordance with agrotechnical requirements indicates that the season promises to be successful and the harvest abundant.
