On 18 April 2026, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahri Byashimova and a delegation of the International Labour Organization (ILO) headed by Miranda Fayerman. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies of the country. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

Among the key objectives of the visit of the ILO delegation is the organization of practical activities, in particular joint round tables in the regions of the country with the participation of a wide range of government bodies and social partners.

During the talks, the sides noted the systematic and sustainable nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ILO, including the improvement of the national regulatory framework and the implementation of international labour standards. The importance of interagency coordination in implementing joint initiatives was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Cooperation Roadmap for 2026, which is viewed as a key instrument for achieving concrete and measurable results.

The sides positively assessed the outcomes of the recent activities, including the presentation of the 2025 survey results and the collection of practical feedback at the local level.

During the meeting, the importance of broader international coverage of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ILO was highlighted.

Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and further develop cooperation.
