Turkmenistan will present its Akhal-Teke horses at equestrian competitions and the “Pearl of the East” beauty contest, which will take place on May 9–10 in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Preparations for participation in this international event, which is intended to further enhance the fame of our “heavenly” horses, were reported at Friday’s Cabinet of Ministers meeting by Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyyev, who oversees the country’s equestrian sector.

He also noted that, as part of the upcoming visit of the Turkmen delegation to Uzbekistan, participation is planned in the conference “The Akhal-Teke Horse – a Symbol of Friendship Among Nations.”

According to the organizers, the first day of the program will feature horse races over distances ranging from 1,000 to 2,400 meters. On the second day, the “Pearl of the East” beauty and conformation competition will be held as a parade and exhibition, showcasing to the world the exemplary grace and elegance of the Akhal-Teke breed.

After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take all necessary measures to ensure the successful participation of Turkmen horse breeders and Akhal-Teke horses in the upcoming equestrian competitions and beauty contest.

It is worth recalling that 2026 in our country is being observed under the motto: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.”
