Subject Olympiads for graduating students of secondary schools have concluded at a Turkmen institute

The Turkmen state institute of architecture and construction held subject Olympiads among graduating students of secondary schools across the country.

The final II stage of the Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry and modern computer technologies brought together talented representatives of dozens of schools from different parts of Turkmenistan, who showed high results in the first online stage of the competitions.

To participate in the finals, which took place in person, high school students from Ashgabat, Arkadag, and the Ahal velayat gathered at the Turkmen state institute of architecture and construction. Competition finalists from the Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats were invited to specially designated educational institutions in the velayat centres.

According to the results of the final stage of the competition, 24 schoolchildren took prize places (6 students in each of the four subject areas).

In mathematics, first place was won by Shiraly Meredov, a student of School №12 of the Yoloten etrap in the Mary velayat. Second place went to Bilbil Hanova (school №40, Yoloten etrap, Mary velayat) and Yhlas Annamenliyev (school №2, Balkan velayat). Third place was shared by Ayshat Ishangulyyeva, Myrat Meretdurdyyev, and Shatlyk Guvanjov, students of specialised school №12 with in-depth study of exact and natural sciences in Shatlyk, Mary velayat.

In physics, first place was awarded to Bahargul Gurbannazarova, a student of School №31 in Gumdag, Balkan velayat. Second place was taken by Nurana Narmuhammedova and Aygozel Jepbargulyyeva (School №45 with in-depth study of English and exact sciences, Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat). In third place were Kakageldi Sokhbedov and Ovezgeldi Gadamov (School №18 of the Sarahs etrap of the Ahal velayat), as well as Leyli Batyrova (School №24 for gifted children of the city of Mary of the Mary velayat).

Rustem Jumayev, a student at the Ashgabat Specialised Boarding School named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy, won first place in chemistry. Second place was taken by Dovlet Durdylyyev (specialised school №24 of Mary city, Mary velayat) and Leyli Garlyyeva (school №2 of Turkmengala etrap, Mary velayat). Third place was awarded to Mahri Hojayeva (School №40 of the Yoloten etrap of the Mary velayat), Suleyman Annalyyev (School №2 of the Turkmengala etrap of the Mary velayat) and Mahrijemal Berdiyeva (School №19 of the Murgap etrap of the Mary velayat).

The best experts in modern computer technologies were: I place - Maksat Shajykov (school №37 of the Murgap etrap of Mary velayat); II place - Yhlas Gurbanmuhammedov (school №24 of the Sakarchage etrap of Mary velayat) and Atageldi Allaberenov (school №21 Dashoguz city of Dashoguz velayat); III place - Kakageldi Hommadov (school №32 of Sakarchaga etrap of Mary velayat), Berdimyrat Akkoshekov (school №132 with advanced study of foreign languages in Ashgabat) and Abdylla Saparmyradov (school №65 of Gorogly etrap of Dashoguz velayat).

The organisers congratulated the winners and runners-up of the Olympiad, expressed gratitude to all students for their participation, and wished them success in their upcoming final and entrance exams.

The institute held these competitions to stimulate interest of students in science and to develop knowledgeable, motivated young people with high scientific potential, capable of skilfully applying innovative technologies and independently solving assigned tasks.

The organisation of the Olympiads is aimed at addressing the most important tasks set within the framework of the modernisation of the national education system, as well as the implementation of the Concept for the development of the digital education system and the Concept for improving the teaching of natural and exact sciences in Turkmenistan.
