Construction of a new electrical substation is underway in the Koneurgench etrap of the Dashoguz velayat. Foundations are currently being built for several new buildings, including a specialised structure designed to house power equipment and a control system used to receive and distribute electricity, as well as to monitor the operation of the substation.

The new substation is being built by order of the production association «Daşoguzenergo». Its design took into account the prospects for further development of energy infrastructure of the etrap. The new building is designed to receive and convert electrical energy received from the state-owned power plant located in Dashoguz and partially supply it to industrial and municipal consumers, as well as various economic facilities in the Koneurgench etrap. Once commissioned, it will replace the outdated «Novcha» power plant.

The velayat is consistently implementing comprehensive projects that include the introduction of modern technologies and facilitate the re-equipment of the energy system in accordance with modern requirements, including the construction of facilities for various purposes. Thanks to their successful implementation, the entire energy infrastructure of the velayat has become part of unified energy ring of the country, which helps ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers and the reliable operation of the entire local energy infrastructure.
