On 13 May 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Byshimova met with the Director of the Secretariat of the Intelligence College in Europe Yasmine Gouedard. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides assessed the current level of dialogue between European and Central Asian countries in general, and with Turkmenistan in particular.
Mrs. Gouedard spoke about her projects aimed at strengthening humanitarian ties between European and Central Asian countries. She expressed commitment to organizing lectures and seminars for representatives of relevant universities and institutions in Turkmenistan in the fields of preventive diplomacy, conflict studies and political analysis.
The parties exchanged views on issues pertaining to regional and international agenda. The significance of the peace-loving policy of Turkmenistan, as well as the commitment of its people to unshakeable values such as good-neighborliness, friendship and mutual respect was highlighted at the meeting.
During her visit to Ashgabat, Mrs. Gouedard took part in the scientific-practical conference entitled “Turkmenistan and International Law: Experience of Neutrality and Cooperation” which was held in the premises of the International University for the Humanities and Development, as well as delivered a lecture to the students of international relations.
