In his speech at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation forum in Kazan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, put forward a significant initiative in the field of education and enlightenment.
Highlighting humanitarian cooperation with ISESCO as a priority area of foreign policy of the country, Hero-Arkadag proposed launching a large-scale program, «Islamic poetic dialogue: wisdom and connection of the ages». The project aims to systematically introduce the global public to the philosophical and literary heritage of the Muslim world – from antiquity to the present day.
«The historical peculiarity of Islamic philosophical thought is its lyrical and poetic reflection. Therefore, as a first step, we propose considering the creation of a «World anthology of islamic poetry», which would include works by prominent poets, thinkers, and philosophers of the Muslim world, as well as those authors who feel a connection to Islam, the Islamic cultural code, and worldview», – said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
At the same time, it was emphasised that Turkmenistan remains committed to strengthening intercivilisational dialogue and promoting humanistic ideals in international relations.
