On 21 May 2026, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation between the two countries in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, as well as cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the United Nations and emphasised the importance of effective interaction within the Commonwealth of Independent States.

They considered opportunities for expanding cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, including the organisation of relevant events in the current year.
