Today, the XXV international universal exhibition and conference «White city Ashgabat», organised by the khyakimlik of the capital together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan started here.
Thanks to the architectural talent of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag and successful realization of large scale town-planning projects in the present period of white marble coated Ashgabat recognised as a pearl of Asia under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has turned into one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities of the world to live. The annual celebration of City Day on May 25 further strengthens its international prestige.
In our country holidays, exhibitions and celebrations come one after another and events held on the occasion of Ashgabat City Day reflect the beauty and modern architectural shape of the city that is an expression of goodwill, inspiration and happiness. The international universal exhibition developed in the Expocentre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country, gives many opportunities for acquaintance with achievements of the capital and adjustment of new business contacts.
The annual exhibition held throughout 25 years, became a significant platform for demonstration of achievements of the country in the sphere of town-planning, industry, innovations, and successes in the public, economic, scientific and cultural life of the capital. The number of people who wish every year to participate in the actions timed to Ashgabat City Day that testifies to the high interest of foreign partners in our state. Representatives from 55 countries take part in the international universal exhibition and conference. It underlines that as a result of the state policy pursued in the country favourable conditions for investments are created. Participation in the review and conference gives ample opportunities to the foreign companies, financial organisations and investors for studying perspective projects and establishment of cooperation.
… On the square before the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry creative collectives performed songs and musical compositions. Members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, sectoral ministries and departments heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, local and foreign businessmen, representatives of public organisations, mass media, numerous visitors and residents of the capital took part in the solemn opening of the exhibition.
The gathered with great enthusiasm heard the welcoming message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participants of the XXV international universal exhibition and conference «White city Ashgabat».
In the message, the head of the state pointed out that in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the prestige of white marble-coated Ashgabat, which amazes with its magnificence as a developing city steadily, grows.
Different objects and the buildings erected on the basis of a harmonious combination of the best traditions of national architecture and the best practices in this area, not only ensure comfortable living conditions, but also form a new modern shape of the wonderful capital.
Participants of the universal exhibition presented mutually beneficial business proposals for international cooperation in the field of building, electric power industry processing and light industry, design and modernisation of city infrastructure.
One of the priority areas of such approach is to study advanced world experience and achievements of innovative development at the expense of introduction of modern technologies. At the exhibition. More than 130 exhibitors representing local and foreign companies, ministries and departments of the country and business structures of foreign states displayed their stands.
On big monitors, one could watch achievements of the capital city in the social and economic sphere. Floral compositions and decorative plantings underlined the special attention shown to ecological well-being of the city. The separate place in the exposition was occupied with breadboard models of the buildings forming a unique architectural shape of the capital.
Modern Ashgabat is a bright reflexion of development of the construction and industrial branch of the country. Results of reforms and investment activity are especially visually visible in the example of the white marble coated capital.
At stands of the construction and industrial complex, the special attention was given to production from local raw materials and realised projects, the quality of which does not concede to foreign analogues. In the country, the consecutive work is carried out to modernise operating manufactures and building of new hi-tech enterprises focused on release of competitive export production.
The capital of Turkmenistan represents a unique sample of the modern, dynamically developing city of the future in which beauty, comfort, advanced achievements of architecture and engineering solutions and centuries-old traditions of national architecture are harmoniously combined. In this connection, one should note that the leading local and foreign companies actively participate in realisation of large-scale town-planning projects in the capital. Among them – famous partners of Turkmenistan in the building branch - «Bouygues Turkmen», «Gap Inşaat», «Rönesans», «Çalik Enerji», «Daewoo», «Altkom», "Interbudmontazh". These companies successfully realise large infrastructural projects to transform the country, including the capital.
Ample opportunities for development are also shown by local businessmen - representatives of the agrarian sector, food-processing industry, building of the modern industrial enterprises and manufacture of building materials. Thanks to the consecutive support rendered by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the private sector, the number of businessmen annually grows in the country.
At present, Turkmen builders widely introduce modern standards of housing construction, erected objects are provided with necessary communications, engineering infrastructural systems. The shape of velayat centres changes before our eyes, in the capital new buildings, housing areas with all conveniences, social objects and manufacturing enterprises are placed in operation. At the exhibition, one could see realised and perspective projects of private companies, among which are «Ajaýyp gurluşyk», «Rysgally zähmet», «Röwşen», «Ýedi-Ýer», «Altyn Nesil», «Ojar Aziýa». These private structures have constructed a set of social and industrial objects in the capital and the regions of the country. The special attention is given to successful development of modern business. Perfection of the national legislation promotes investment activity. No doubt, that rich natural resources of the country and its favourable geographical position create for this purpose additional possibilities.
Projects of objects are presented in expositions of private building companies not only in Ashgabat, but also in the new city of Arkadag, which becomes an important platform for development of national enterprises and advanced experience. The companies «Ak bulut», «Ak tam», «Eziz doganlar», «Derýaplastik», «Şanly bedew», «Galkynyş plastic» represent a wide assortment of building materials made of local raw materials, including tile, false ceilings and others. Enterprises «Türkmen Enjam», «Akhümmet», «Arçaly Dünýä» and «Eşret mahabat» acquaint guests with modern services in installation sphere, and deliveries of the equipment for different objects.
It is necessary to mark especially that the civil work carried out in Turkmenistan, completely correspond to the international ecological standards. It visually proves to be true realisation of large-scale projects in Ashgabat, in the unique city of Arkadag, and in velayats where modern buildings, social objects and well-arranged park zones are placed in operation. All this speaks of preservation of the environment and improvement of the ecological situation as an important point of the state policy. Within the review, the considerable attention is given to the activity of private companies working in the sphere of gardening and accomplishment of the city environment. Among them - «Saýaly jülge», «Bossan Concept», «Roza gül».
Creation of favourable conditions for public life remains a key area of the state strategy realised at the initiative of honoured architect of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully continued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. A special significance is given to building of welfare objects and housing areas equipped with all conveniences, and introduction of technologies of the "smart" house and innovative digital solutions. At the international universal exhibition, an emphasis was also made on issues of introduction of digital technologies in city social and transport infrastructure. In this context, the great interest of participants of the review was involved with innovative solutions of the economic society «Aýdyň gijeler» and the Chinese company «Unilumin Group». A number of the companies presented their services in the field of introduction of digital system and development of software for manufactures.
Creation of modern telecommunication system is considered today as one of the major factors of sustainable development of cities. At the stand of the Ministry of Communications, one could see achievements of Turkmenistan in formation of uniform digital space.
The separate part of the exhibition was taken by expositions of the companies representing welfare, trading and entertaining spheres of the capital. Among them - suppliers of the goods of daily demand, such as «Şerbet market», «Milli market», «Halk market», and networks of restaurants, including «Altyn», «Magat», «Kebapçy», «Toý mekany» and «Bahar».
The furniture company "Aýbölek" has presented a wide assortment of production for the house and office. The enterprises, which are engaged in cultivation of vegetables, gourds and manufacture of foodstuff, have shown their contribution to maintenance of food abundance in the country. It was especially populous in pavilions of the companies «Täze aý», «Erteki», and economic societies «Hasar» and «Ýigit». During the summer season production of companies "Parahat", «Turkmenistan Coca-Cola Bottlers», «Ýüpekçi», «Goşa çynar», soft drinks offering a wide assortment and fruit juice used invariable popularity.
In our country, wide opportunities are opened for the rising generation in the field of development of foreign languages and exact sciences. Private educational centres, which, are based on modern and effective techniques of training, play the special role in this process, bring a considerable contribution to formation of the well-educated, intellectually developed youth. The private centres presented at the review acquaint visitors with educational programs including profound learning of foreign languages, mathematics, computer science and programming. The stands devoted to possibilities of training in leading foreign educational institutions, which are actual for graduates of schools, which take part in celebratory actions on the occasion of Ashgabat City Day and ceremonies «Last bell», evoked a special interest.
Expositions of private businesspersons working in textile manufacture, sphere of manufacturing of modern carpets of handwork and products of national crafts also take a significant place at the international universal exhibition. Visitors also had a possibility to familiarise with a wide spectrum of modern cars and specialised technics used in building and municipal services.
As a whole, the international exhibition became an important platform for acquaintance with the advanced town-planning concepts and achievements of the white marble coated capital in days of independence, and for adjustment of mutually beneficial contacts between representatives of state structures, industrial enterprises and innovative manufacture.
Within the international universal exhibition «White city Ashgabat», the forum of the United Nations Organization «Practical realisation through the global dialogue: sustainable, inclusive and «smart" cities" was held in the format of high level "round table». Modern principles of development of cities were discussed in it.
As was marked, now urbanization tendencies get a global character and are beyond separate states. The level of development of the city environment directly influences investment appeal of the countries, stability of economic growth and ability to adapt for the calls connected with climate change. In the process of development of the city, the role of centres of international cooperation, technological exchange and introduction of new models of sustainable development strengthens.
Like all over the world, in Central Asia a special significance is given to innovative building projects and the concept «smart city». In the given context, special attention is given to national approaches on creation of the modern city environment where high technologies harmoniously take root and favourable ecological conditions are formed. Thus, the considerable experience of Turkmenistan in the town-planning sphere, saved for years of independence thanks to realisation of large-scale projects was especially underlined. Among the non-polluting and beautiful cities generated in the picturesque part of Kopet Dagh, white marble-coated capital city Ashgabat, and smart city Arkadag that has no analogue in the region are singled out. They became bright symbols of the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state and worthy samples of modern world architecture. Foreign visitors have highly appreciated efforts of Turkmenistan on creation of sustainable cities and formation of the comfortable environment for public life. These achievements grow out of the far-sighted city planning policy put by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and nowadays consistently realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In the second half of day, in the capital hotel "Olimpiýa", a plenary meeting of the conference «White city Ashgabat» on the theme «Formation of the sustainable, «smart» and globally integrated capital» was held with participation of representatives of the state and private establishments of the country, specialised structures of the United Nations, other international organisations, diplomatic representatives of the foreign states and large companies. During the meeting, perspective areas of long-term development of Ashgabat were considered. Participants of the event warmly congratulated the present with Ashgabat City Day - a symbol of all-round progress of our fatherland, and festive events. Inclusion of Ashgabat in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network of UNESCO in the category "Design", in the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, and the introduction into the World Tourism Cities Federation confirms the high international status of the chief town of the country.
It was noticed that the town planning is an important and integral part of the state policy of Turkmenistan. Issues of development of the capital find a reflexion in the dynamical growth of the city recognised as a pearl of Asia. The infrastructure of Ashgabat answering to all characteristics of a modern city, is constantly improved, architectural complexes replenish with new buildings and constructions. Like in all years of a new historical epoch, in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers» in the capital, it is planned to commission several different objects and housing areas. As was underlined, a considerable part of building projects is realised by local specialists that causes a feeling of big pride. It testifies to the growing creative and economic potential of the country. In erection of new objects, the special attention is given to introduction of digital technologies and energy saving solutions.
The modern city environment including comfortable housing estates, cultural and sports objects, manufacturing enterprises, and the infrastructure based on advanced scientific-technologic decisions is actively formed. During the conference, it was especially underlined that the capital of Turkmenistan - a modern, steadily developing and comfortable city for life - remains opened for international cooperation and attraction of investments.
Within the forum, bilateral meetings between heads of ministries and branch departments of the country and leading building and industrial foreign companies took place. During negotiations prospects of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas were discussed.
In the second day of the conference, thematic sessions devoted to development of "smart" cities, industrial and building complexes, and introduction of the advanced power and digital technologies in future cities are planned.
The XXV international universal exhibition and conference «White city Ashgabat» will finish its work on May 25 – on Ashgabat City Day.
