These days, the farmers of the Dashoguz velayat have made a substantial contribution to the overall success of the country’s sericulture industry by fulfilling their contractual obligations. They have produced more than 500 tons of valuable raw material, exceeding the planned target.

Particularly noteworthy were the achievements of the sericulturists of Shavat and Garashsyzlyk etraps. Among the large agricultural enterprises that successfully surpassed their commitments were the farmers of the Sadulla Rozmetov Agricultural Joint-Stock Company in Shavat etrap, who produced six tons more silkworm cocoons than planned.

For a long time, sericulture has remained one of the key branches of agriculture in the velayat. The region consistently fulfills its annual targets for supplying valuable raw materials to the domestic textile industry. Thanks to the measures being implemented, the velayaat now has all the necessary conditions for large-scale cocoon production, including a strong feed base. Thousands of tenant farmers have accumulated extensive experience in raising silkworms and actively participate in this important campaign each year while applying modern scientific recommendations in production.
