Representatives from the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” of the Republic of Uzbekistan have completed a professional internship in Turkmenistan.

The program was organized from May 16 to June 1 within the framework of a bilateral Cooperation Agreement between the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

A total of 19 students and 2 faculty members from the Uzbek agricultural university participated in the internship program. The visiting delegation toured several major enterprises operating in Turkmenistan’s agricultural and water management sectors. In particular, they became acquainted with the operations of the “Hydropark” water-lifting station and the “Obahyzmat” production enterprise in the Ak Bugday etrap. Uzbek specialists and students also took an active part in lectures and practical training sessions organized by the faculty of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

The visit program also included cultural activities. Representatives of friendly Uzbekistan toured the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the State Central Botanical Garden, and the capital’s Tashkent Park.

The Uzbek delegation expressed gratitude and appreciation to their Turkmen colleagues for their warm hospitality and for creating favorable conditions for the exchange of scientific and educational experience.

As part of the established scientific and humanitarian cooperation between the two universities, a reciprocal working visit by faculty members and students of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University to Uzbekistan for internship training is planned in the near future.
