The capital of Turkmenistan is hosting one of the most significant events in the field of light industry and business cooperation – the International exhibition and fair «Turkmenextile Expo – 2026». Flagships of the domestic industry showcase their best achievements here, but the Ashgabat textile complex stand attracted the overwhelming majority of visitors and foreign delegations.

The central place in the exhibition of complex is occupied by designer knitwear, which harmoniously combines modern trends and original national patterns. Deputy general director of the Ashgabat textile complex, Jennet Hojanazarova, spoke to a «GA» correspondent about how the unique collection was created and how the company attracts foreign partners.

According to the director of the company, the success of the exhibition is the result of coordinated teamwork. The company has a strict artistic council that selects the best original designs from designers for subsequent production.

«This season, the factory has focused on a variety of visual solutions. These include ethnic motifs, including elegant oriental ornaments, floral prints, focused on large floral elements, in particular, bright roses in the form of panels. Such samples are in particular demand among customers. At the same time, a lot of attention is paid to the collection of children with bright designs adapted for little ones», – our interviewee shared.

High quality of design application is ensured by the advanced technical equipment of the factory. The production process uses various printing methods, from drum printing, with a cyclically repeating pitch of 8-10 centimetres, to screen printing technology, used to diversify the product range.

«The technical base of our complex is made up of advanced European equipment. We use high-tech German and Turkish machines, and our dyeing shop is equipped with Italian production lines, which guarantees colour fastness and eco-friendliness of the fabrics. The design concept of the stand this year was designed with fashionable colour schemes» – added J. Hojanazarova.

The main colours of the exhibition were orange and dark turquoise, which allowed the Ashgabat complex to stand out from the rest of the exhibitors.

The aesthetics and quality of Turkmen textiles have already been highly praised by both local visitors and numerous foreign delegates. The professional community rated the stand of the company as one of the best at the «Turkmentextile Expo - 2026».

The exhibition traditionally serves as an effective platform for strengthening foreign economic relations. The products of the Ashgabat textile complex have long established themselves beyond the domestic market and are in steady demand abroad. The company exports products to the Russian Federation, Italy and Spain. Russian consumers have taken a liking to terry products – high-quality towels and robes – while premium bed linen and knitwear are shipped to European countries.

In conclusion, J. Hojanazarova emphasised that exhibition of this year was no exception; the overwhelming interest in Turkmen cotton and ready-made clothing resulted in concrete business proposals. Representatives of textile industry of Turkmenistan held a series of important negotiations and meetings with foreign partners, opening up new opportunities for the industry.
