A certificate award ceremony was held at the Institute of international relations of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan for students enrolled in the Training centre for priority areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan and the Scientific and methodological centre for the Sustainable development goals.

 In total, 104 students of the Higher school of Diplomacy successfully completed their studies at the higher school of diplomacy centres. One group of students completed training in the areas of preventive, transport, energy, water and economic diplomacy at the Training centre for priority areas of diplomacy of Turkmenistan. Another group of students studied at the Scientific and methodological centre for Sustainable development goals.

The courses were traditionally led by reputable domestic specialists from relevant institutions and international experts, who conducted a series of in-depth lectures and interactive seminars for students. The course program covered such key topics as «International initiatives of Turkmenistan in the field of water diplomacy», «The importance of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA)», «Political and economic aspects of energy diplomacy», «Modern mechanisms of preventive diplomacy in the Central Asian region», «The UN Sustainable development goals and their practical significance», and others.

As noted at the ceremony, the students demonstrated high activity and determination during their studies, and also demonstrated excellent training results upon completion. The successful completion of these courses by students demonstrates their commitment to a deep understanding of contemporary challenges and opportunities in international relations and confirms the effectiveness of efforts of our country to train highly qualified diplomatic personnel. The knowledge and skills acquired will help graduates of the centers make a worthy contribution to strengthening position of the country on the global stage in the future.

The Training centre for priority areas of diplomacy of Turkmenistan regularly conducts courses for students to train and improve the qualifications of international relations specialists. An in-depth study of foreign policy of the country course helps students develop an understanding of the challenges in the field of preventive diplomacy and international cooperation on economic, energy, transport, and water resources issues.

Elective classes for students at the SDG Research and methodology centre focus on exploring key areas for achieving the global Sustainable development goals.

At the same time, during classes with students at the educational centres of the IIR of the MFA of Turkmenistan, the main emphasis is placed on the importance of international activities of the country, Turkmen diplomacy in international relations, and their construction based on the principles of friendship between states, equality, mutual respect, good-neighborliness, mutual understanding, and trust.
