Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan are participating in the seminar entitled “Enhancing the Role of Legislative Bodies and Strengthening China–Central Asia Cooperation,” which is being held in Beijing from June 22 to 28 of this year. The event has been organized by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China for parliamentarians from the countries of Central Asia.

The purpose of the seminar is to strengthen interparliamentary ties between the countries of Central Asia and China, facilitate the exchange of views on legislative systems, discuss key issues of interregional cooperation, coordinate development strategies, and promote mutually beneficial and inclusive economic cooperation in line with current trends in the global economy.

Speaking at the seminar, a representative of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan noted that, thanks to the efforts of the heads of the two states, strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China continues to develop steadily and is being enriched with new content based on mutual respect, trust, and equality. The speaker also emphasized that regional events, meetings, forums, and seminars serve as important platforms for discussing specific areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening interparliamentary relations, and exploring new approaches to expanding cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and China.
