During the latest Cabinet of Ministers meeting, chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the digital system, priority tasks for the socioeconomic development ofthe country were discussed, including digitalisation and support for youth scientific and technical initiatives.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annayev presented a report on preparations for the announcement of the «Digital Solution – 2026» innovative projects competition.

According to the deputy-prime, the key goal of this traditional competition is to identify and encourage talented young people specialising in software development and innovation. In 2026, the competition will be held in such relevant categories as artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, digital medicine, education and e-learning, smart city, smart agricultural technologies, and service systems.

It was noted that the most promising projects are planned to be actively implemented into the digitalisation processes of the national economy. The official summing up of the results of the review and the awarding of the winners will take place within the framework of the International exhibition and scientific conference «Türkmentel – 2026».

Having approved the proposal, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the country is undertaking targeted and comprehensive work to transition to a digital economy. The head of state noted with satisfaction the growing role of young people in the implementation of these large-scale programs and their active participation in innovation exhibitions.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan addressed instructions to the deputy-prime to ensure a high organisational level for the Digital Solution 2026 competition.
