Turkmenistan’s athletes won a total of 415 medals at international competitions from January through June of this year. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mammedov at a Government meeting reviewing the country's socio-economic development for the first half of 2026.

It was noted that effective efforts were made during the reporting period to promote the development of physical culture and sports. Demonstrating outstanding performances at international competitions, Turkmen athletes won 114 medals in June alone, bringing the national team's total medal count to 415 for the first six months of the year.

Emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to create favorable conditions for greater youth participation in mass sports, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the relevant tasks.
