On September 1, 2026, a certificate confirming the establishment of an international Pearson Certiport certification center in the country was presented as part of the inauguration ceremony for the new building of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, attended by the President of Turkmenistan.
This event represents a practical outcome of efforts to consistently develop Turkmen-British humanitarian cooperation. As is known, negotiations on cooperation with Pearson began in May 2025 during the Education World Forum in London. Subsequently, in February 2026, four documents aimed at developing cooperation in the field of education were signed during an official working visit by a government delegation of Turkmenistan to the United Kingdom. One of them was a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and Pearson on the development of skills, certification, and qualifications.
The opening of the Pearson Certiport center has become one of the first practical results of this cooperation. Certiport administers internationally recognized certification examinations offered by world-renowned companies and organizations such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Cisco, Apple, Intuit, Unity, and the Project Management Institute.
The center's operations in Turkmenistan open up new opportunities for students, teachers, and professionals to obtain internationally recognized certifications within the country. Such certifications validate specific professional skills, enhance the competitiveness of graduates, and create additional opportunities for them to participate in international projects and enter the global labor market.
The establishment of the Pearson Certiport center is a vivid reflection of the consistent policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, aimed at actively integrating the national education system into the international educational community, introducing modern skills-assessment tools, and preparing competitive specialists for the new generation.
