On 16 – 17 September 2026, a Regional Seminar of the United Nations was held in Tokyo, dedicated to issues of youth empowerment, digital resilience, strategic communications and strengthening the rule of law in Central Asia. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The seminar brought together representatives of the Central Asian states and Japan, international organizations, as well as youth and expert communities. Turkmenistan was represented by a delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan.

During the event, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of regional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Central Asian Network for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (CAPVE), further development of regional cooperation, as well as strengthening interaction among government institutions, youth organizations, the expert community and international partners.

The participants emphasized the importance of joint efforts and exchange of experience in promoting sustainable development, expanding opportunities for youth and strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia.
