White marble Ashgabat was transformed in anticipation of the main celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty. Central avenues, buildings, and public transportation of the capital were adorned with patriotic slogans, themed art objects, banners, and national flags, creating a unified festive ensemble.
Installations and stands depicting Akhal-Teke horses add a special touch to the urban environment, harmoniously echoing the 2026 motto: «Independent, neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses». This symbol emphasises the inextricable connection between eras and desire of the country to move forward and develop dynamically.
Large-scale preparatory work covered both Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. Electronic displays installed on the outside of modern city buses broadcast patriotic slogans reflecting the unity of the people, the cohesion of society, and the special significance of the upcoming historical forum.
