A training seminar featuring specialists from Clausthal University of Technology in Germany was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

The event was organized with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) project “European Union for a Green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action for 2024–2029.”

The seminar aimed to promote international cooperation, explore advanced scientific and technological expertise, and introduce innovative approaches to the energy sector.

As part of the seminar, training sessions were conducted on modern technologies used in gas well drilling and the storage of hydrocarbon resources.

Participants examined modern methods of drilling oil and gas wells, technologies for the efficient development and safe storage of hydrocarbon resources, opportunities for using renewable energy sources, methods of producing hydrogen fuel, and the application of artificial intelligence in the energy sector.

Young specialists, faculty members, and students of the university exchanged views and experience with professors and lecturers from abroad and received valuable information about new technologies used in the energy industry.

During the seminar, the foreign guests learned about the structure of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the activities of its research laboratories and specialized centres, as well as the capabilities of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan. Their visit provided them with a broad understanding of the current state of practical professional training and the university’s educational system, which combines science and industry.

The participants highly praised the existing opportunities for advancing science and education, improving the professional training of young people, and introducing modern technologies. They also expressed their readiness to continue cooperation and identified promising areas for future collaboration.
