This year, farmers in the Balkan velayat have set themselves an ambitious target: to harvest 16,000 tonnes of cotton from 13,000 hectares of farmland. These days, they are working at a steady pace to gather the new crop. From the very beginning of the season, specialists from the velayat’s agricultural production organizations have properly organized the harvesting of the cotton grown. Tenant farmers, owners, and landholders from the daykhan farms of Gyzylarbat, Bereket, and Magtymguly etraps have been particularly dedicated in carrying out this important work. Across the region, the number of tenant farmers, producers, and landholders successfully exceeding their contractual obligations continues to grow day by day.
At the height of this crucial season, machine operators and engineering and technical staff of the Balkanobahyzmat Production Association are demonstrating a high level of activity. Operating new, high-performance harvesters purchased from abroad, the machine operators work in several shifts to ensure that harvesting is completed within the prescribed agrotechnical deadlines.
Today, every effort is being made across the velayat to ensure the coordinated and uninterrupted operation of powerful, high-performance cotton harvesters, other agricultural machinery, and transport vehicles. Specialized maintenance teams are working continuously, bringing together experienced specialists, repair technicians, equipment adjusters, and welders. Mobile teams, fully supplied with fuel, lubricants, and spare parts, travel to the fields to ensure that operations run quickly and smoothly.
By ensuring the continuous operation of transport vehicles, farmers are arranging for cotton to be delivered from the harvesters’ hoppers to the cotton reception points of the Balkanpagta Production Association in Gyzylarbat and Bereket etraps. Competitions are also organized among combine operators and truck drivers, while leading performers are regularly rewarded by public organizations in the velayat.
